Manufacturing
The Facility
Medical Scientific, Inc., an ISO 9001 and EN 46001 registered company,
has offices, laboratories and manufacturing facilities at 125 John
Hancock Road in Taunton, Mass., approximately one half-hour drive
south of Boston.
MSI has ample
square footage in a temperature-controlled environment
to accommodate all of the tasks required to develop and
manufacture medical/surgical devices in production
quantities. MSI currently leases 12,500 sq. ft. of space
which includes a Class 10,000, 1,700 sq. ft. clean room.
The company has extensive experience in the
manufacturing of Class I, II, and III medical products
used in a variety of medical procedures. The facility
includes an in-house machine shop, a controlled
inventory area, a laboratory for research and
development, and manufacturing areas for assembly,
inspection, testing and packaging.
FDA Regulations
Medical Scientific, Inc. is registered as a medical device manufacturer
with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Medical Scientific, Inc.'s manufacturing facility is subject to periodic
inspections by regulatory authorities and has undergone Good Manufacturing
Practices (GMP) compliance inspections conducted by the FDA in November
of 1993, January of 1996 and February of 1999. The inspections were
uneventful and no negative observations were noted.
Quality Assurance
Medical Scientific, Inc. is a quality driven company. Our personnel
have years of experience in quality management and quality engineering.
They are kept current with the latest advances by attending seminars,
conferences, lectures and accredited courses in total quality management.
We emphasize quality in every aspect of product development and production.
Customer Services
At Medical Scientific the customer comes first. The emphasis on keeping
our customers happy by going the extra-mile has made us preferred
vendors to several companies. MSI has implemented programs for its
customers, such as ship-to stock, repair services, toll-free technical
service lines and product upgrades.
